Job Details:
We are looking for an experienced, driven and detail-oriented Permanent Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering, with a focus on the evaluation of bridges, sign structures, and traffic span poles. They will also have experience in railroad design and construction, as well as substation and facility design. This role is critical to our operations and will play a key role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive inspections of bridges, sign structures, and traffic span poles to ensure they meet all safety and performance standards.
2. Evaluate and assist in the design of bridges, rail road structures and facilities, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standard.
3. Contribute to the design and implementation of traction power, overhead catenary, substation and facility design.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
5. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting all safety and quality standards.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology, integrating this knowledge into your work.
7. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
2. 5-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on the construction industry.
3. Previous experience evaluating bridges, sign structures, and traffic span poles.
4. 2-8 years of experience in railroad design and/or construction.
5. Proven experience in traction power, overhead catenary, substation and facility design.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
8. Proficiency in the use of engineering software and technology.
9. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
10. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
